A Scanner Darkley Documentary - Part 2
One Summer in Austin: The Story of Filming A Scanner Darkly.
What does a scanner see? Into the head? Into the heart? From the novel by Philip K. Dick - the sci-fi legend whose works-to-film include Blade Runner, Total Recall and Minority Report - comes A Scanner Darkly, brought to the screen by filmmaker Richard Linklater with an edgy graphic-novel look.
The time: just beyond now. The place: suburbia. The story: a twisted, funny tale of people hooked on Substance D. And of a government that cheerfully destroys its citizens - their rights, their relationships - in order to save them. Robert Downey Jr., Woody Harrelson, Winona Ryder and Rory Cochrane play strung-out friends terrified of each other and of spies, Keanu Reeves plays a spy who’s also one of the friends… until his two personalities begin to split. Enjoy the paranoia. Nobody’s watching you. Really.

Winona Ryder - by Chloe Chaidez of Kitten
No this isn’t Winona, but I found this song by a new band, Kitten. I personally liked the beat, and thought maybe some of you would too. The song isn’t available, the band hasn’t even release their album yet, just EPs. This was a street performance they did. I can’t make out what they’re saying about Winona, but hope it’s nothing bad. Hope you guys enjoy this, sorry if you were disappointed that Winona wasn’t in this, I just wanted to post something a little different, with Winona in mind of coarse. You never know, this song could be a hit once the band becomes a bit more established.
If you guys do like the song, I found another version with more clarity

4) Winona Ryder in the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion’s “Talk About The Blues” Natalie’s Black Swan co-star Winona has a long history of dating rock stars, but she made quite a convincing rock star herself when she took centerstage in this fascinating low-budget clip by this venerable underground New York trio. She truly channeled frontman Jon Spencer’s wild-eyed bluesman persona…while actors Giovanni Ribisi and John C. Reilly backed her up on (mimed) bass and drums. Why didn’t these three actors ever start a real band?
